Here you will find a list of books I have recently read and a quick review of my opinion of each.
The Lean Startup
I just started this recently, but I am already immersed in the story telling style of this book. Ries does a fantastic job of using both his experiences as well as metaphors to make sense of his Lean Startup practices. This book is a must-read for any person who is or will eventually be in a management or an innovation position within an existing company or their own startup.
I absolutely recommend this one to just about anyone, but for me this book struck the perfect cord. I am both a lover of shoes and entrepreneurship, and Phil Knight weaves the two together in a memoir-style fashion that is an incredible read.
Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future.
This is a great read and incredibly inspirational. Of course, Elon is quite literally a genius, so it doesn’t entirely apply to those of us who don’t have a photographic memory like he does. Nonetheless, his drive and desire to succeed that is conveyed in this book is contagious.
